Our Preferred Partner: Feeding the Orphans

Feeding the Orphans is a grassroots organization founded in 2010 by then-10-year-old, Sydney O’Leary. FTO advocates for the fatherless of West Africa in Jesus’ name, working to first meet the immediate earthly needs of the community and then build longterm relationships that foster knowledge of Christ. FTO works in partnership with existing Christian ministries when possible, but if needs are identified that reach beyond the scope of these ministries, FTO becomes the driving force to provide for those in need. FTO serves by feeding children, providing educational grants and scholarships, drilling clean water wells, coordinating medical relief missions, and operating Esther's Hope, a job skills and mentoring program that provides education and employment to single mothers to help them find independence.

In the US, FTO also runs Camp Zion, an outdoor adventure camp for youth in Tennessee. Through outdoor adventure and team-building activities, these camps are designed to empower youth, help them understand their personal strength and find self-confidence, while learning essential biblical truths.

Since 2017, FTO's high-quality, fair-trade t-shirt is sewn in Haiti by GOEX Apparel, which works to prevent orphans by providing fair-wage employment opportunities to the Haitian community. The shirts are then printed in the USA by GOEX in their Kansas City print shop, by American workers who are also paid a local living wage.

Eyes That See

Eyes That See currently works in Ethiopia with women who desire to leave the sex industry. The women live at their center, The Keziah House, where they receive rehabilitation, counseling, access to health care, clean water, daily life necessities and education through an accredited school. Upon graduating the program, women are gradually  transitioned into the surrounding community and offered continual support as they enter the workforce and begin to live increasingly independent lives. Purchasing a shirt from ETS will help them fund their next class of Keziah House women. It takes about 170 shirts to fund a single woman's journey, but the lasting impact on her and her community is invaluable.

Childero supports 50 orphan children in partnership with in-country and US-based ministries, nourishing their spiritual hunger through weekly bible study and fulfilling earthly needs through food supplements, educational support, clothing, shoes, feminine supplies, and basic medical care. Buying a t-shirt through Childero also brings self-worth and income to adults with disabilities in Danville, Kentucky.  All Childero t-shirts are produced at The Shirt Garage, a company providing meaningful employment to special needs adults.

Hope 53 Ministries

Hope 53 believes that every child is a child of God and deserving of HOPE. Working across denominations, HOPE 53 funds multiple outreach programs in Haiti, including orphan care, clean water & education programs. Their Rebuilding Hope Program raises US funds for building supplies and the purchase of land for Haitian mothers & children that were displaced by the 2010 earthquake. Once the funds are secured, Hope 53 employs locals to build homes, providing much-needed employment opportunities in Haiti. Upon completion, American mission teams paint the houses and prep them for occupancy. HOPE 53 also funds scholarships for high school seniors in Kentucky to attend a Christian University and pursue a career in ministry.
